Last week, after mulling over the decision for a month and recognizing that I had some spare cash, I decided to replace my photo printer. I hadn't been happy with the print quality for some time and now seemed like the time to get a nice new one... so I ordered a wonderful Epson Stylus Photo R2400.
And two days later my CPU fan dies... So I order a big water cooling system (let's call it $250). Install the system, and the CPU has died.
So I run a test this morning and my 1500 VA uninterruptible power supply explodes in a shower of sparks, I have no idea what that will cost, but let's call it $400.
And I buy a replacement CPU ($90), put it in, but the motherboard is now dead.
So, thanks to Beth's assistance, I now have a new computer coming in ($2100). Fun. not.
All this because of the failure of a $10 fan
